Week 72: Athens, TN

Hey yall,

Quick update in the work out here in East Tennessee. We've been grinding trying to get Dot ready for baptism, but it’s been a struggle. Things keep popping up setting her back further so please pray for her.

Linda Arnold, the sweet retired flat bed truck driver, thanks to a referral from Elder Hanks out in AZ, is progressing well too. We gave her a big Book of Mormon to read and she's been making steps towards church. 

We finally got back in with Bobby. He had us over for a good ol' classic southern feast, sausage, Mac n Cheese, grilled BBQ chicken, and some goofy noodle dish. Also Bobby came to church this week! Had a great time him there. 

We've got a bunch of other friends we're excited for, I’ll keep yall updated. 

Bowling game has been pretty rough. 

Today we were visiting a referral in the middle of a pretty rural spot in our area. We pulled up and this guy gave us the most confusing directions on his 60 acre lot of jungle to a shack, the residence of the referral. Elder Elegante and I trekked out there and we did indeed find the ramshackle hut she was living in, and she was not interested. 

Crazy stuff going on out here, but I love it. Feel free to email me yall, I probably won’t respond, but I'm getting better.
