Week 70: Athens, TN

Hey yall how's it going.

Quick update on the work out here in Tennessee. I promise the journals are coming soon, i just wanted to build anticipation. It's like every time i send out an email is more rare than a 7th Day Adventist getting baptized. Shoutout to all the Adventist homies I've taught throughout my mission.

So we've been doing pretty good out here in Athens. I've been training Elder Elegante for a transfer and now we're staying together for another one, which is sweet. My man is making so much progress and has been teaching me so much. This next transfer we're really working on finding, especially a family, to build the kingdom out here in Athens.

Update on our folks. Dot is literally the sweetest angel and most prepared person in the south. Her date for baptism is for the13th of April but we still need to lock down some stuff for her. Please pray for her.  Bobby has been losing some spiritual momentum the past couple weeks due to personal things but we’re going to get in there and get him back this week! Linda, the referral from my guy Elder Hanks in Arizona, is such an awesome lady. She's a retired flatbed driver and man shes got some stories to tell, it’s sweet. She loves having us over and is starting to read the Book of Mormon.

General Conference was way sweet this year, I learned a tonnnn. Everyone go rewatch the talks like 4 times, it's worth it. We've got Zone Conference this week and Elder Stanfield and I are playing an immaculate guitar duet, so come for a free concert if you want. Also my bowling games been getting better, I got like a 134 today. The forms getting wayyy better, I'm prepping for 200+ next week. New transfer no curse, new district, new goals. We're going to go off this next month.

My favorite scripture recently has been 3 Nephi 9:14, "Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me."  Jesus Christ loves each every one of you, and it is never too late to reach out and grab ahold of His arm. There isn't a single thing big or small that He doesn't care about. When you hurt, He hurts, when you smile, He smiles. He has mercy on us because He understands our feelings, and He can help us change and grow into someone great.

I appreciate everyone’s prayers.
Love y'all so much
