Week 41: Rockwood, TN

September 11, 2023

Pretty sweet day today. Good old Elder Tubbs and his little homie he's training, Elder Escobar, pulled up to our house in the morning. We hung out with them all day. First off, we hit up Walmart for fishing stuff and then Taco Bell for some grub. We went fishing at this sick spot by the Bridges next to the big power plant. Y'all know we catching radioactive fish. I caught a big catfish, which was way sweet. After that we went home and Harry pulled up to play some poker and card games. Also we were planning an exchange with Lenoir so they are gonna slump her for tonight. 

September 12, 2023

So Elder Tubbs and I cranked it again like the good old days here in Rockwood. We hit a ton of contacts down in Spring City. We were supposed to have a couple lessons, but they both fell through. Nothing crazy happened but we were able to meet a couple homies. Later on in the day, we pulled up to a park and walked around and when we were about to leave, these lil' 7th grader homies yelled at us to come ball up with them on the court, so we accepted, of course. We just balled up with these boys for like an hour and a half. It was lit, one of their tubby homies Butterball! was on our team and we smoked the other kids. Before we re-exchanged, we wanted to go fishing before dark and we talked to this old angler and a pro bass fisherman. They both gave us some bass tips, which was sick. 

September 13, 2023

We had District Council, which was crazy because we only had six people and they're all Elders. Went well though, good ol' Tubbs gave a five minute training haha, just reading out of Standards. We went to this sweet member, Sister Smith, and she talked for like 90 minutes straight, it was fun though. After that, we went finding and met this absolute robot Michael, weird bro that didn't like us too much. They had Young Men's tonight and they gave us a free car wash, so thanks YM. 

September 14, 2023

We had a pretty sweet day. We visited one of our friends, Chelsea, and talked to her about the Book of Mormon for a bit so hopefully she reads it. We went to Mama Warren's house and talked to her for a minute. She gave us pretty much a tour of every inch of her house. After that the sun was going down and if you know anything about sketchy Tennessee towns at night time, you dip the heck out of there. Oh yeah we also went to Piggly Wiggly and met this sick lil cholo homie that was at the park when Tubbs and I were balling up. 

September 15, 2023

We help out a food bank called Feeding Roane, so we went and did that this morning. It's at this big Baptist Church in either Harriman or Kingston, I don't know. But we help a bunch of people take boxes of food to their cars. The funny thing is that the majority of the food comes from our church, but they pass it out there. Pretty lit. Later in the day we taught our good friends Doris and Roxanne. After that, game night baby. Elder Buck smoked Harry and me in pretty much every game. 

September 16, 2023

So good ol' ZL1 Elder Fisher and I went on a lit exchange today. We went to Loudon and did a bunch of stuff there. It honestly wasn't anything too crazy, he taught me how to Facebook find and we made a supa heat voodoo Mountain Dew review. Fun exchange ended it off with some McDonald's baby and got that Pokemon kid's meal. 

September 17, 2023

It was a pretty good day at church. Not gonna lie, I don't refer too much about today because it's a couple days past. Somewhere along the way, we did some stuff. Usually our Sunday's consist of Ward Coordination at 8:00am, and then Sacrament at 10:00, then after church we talk with people for a while and then go give the sacrament to two people. Then when we get home, Elder Buck has some calls and by then it's almost 4 or 5. But anyways, we went out to Oakdale to visit some referral that didn't answer and then found a lit pond to skip rocks in. As we were driving home, we found a massive bonfire just burning in a field, so we pulled up. Some bloke drove by and yelled out his window, "If y'all don't kick rocks, I'm gonna call the authorities!" Yeah whatever, bozo.
