Week 2: Provo MTC

December 15, 2022

Today was our p-day which was cool. We went to the Provo Temple which was pretty cool. We did endowments so I fell asleep a couple of times. We were able to talk to our families, which was sick. Ate some fire meals and had a branch meeting. I also found my bag with my scriptures and wallet and stuff. I couldn't find my bag yesterday so that was pretty important. It had my wallet with my card, license, money and everything else. So pretty much if I had lost it, I would've been one sad boy. But I found it so thank heavens, because that would've been bad. 

December 16, 2022

Today was pretty much our first real day. I got some crazy elders in my room, because they feel like going to the gym at 6:40am is a good idea. We have to get up a half hour early for that, so it's kind of trash. 

We had our first full day of classes. It was long but, good because it's what a normal day is like here. We had some good classes, better studies and lots of food, which was sick. Lots of Orange Fanta too. It's pretty much carrying me through the MTC. We also played basketball for a while and I sweat up. Yeah so I'm a 3 shooter now so watch out, Humphreys.

December 17, 2022

We had a good day of classes today. We just did some more role play stuff, which I don't really like but it's probably helping. The food situation is getting a bit shabby but, we out here. At the beginning of the week we had like 3 choices to eat and today we had Sloppy Joes. So the food storage is getting a little scrappy, but it's good. 

We balled up a bit which was sick and then we helped set up chairs for church. I've also been doing better with my studies too. I'm in Alma 22, which is the farthest I've gotten in the scriptures, so I call that progress. 

December 18, 2022

Today was a long day. We started off with church which was good. We took the sacrament, which felt pretty good, honestly. It was nice to kind of have a renewal of my feelings. I haven't really sinned, but it felt nice to refresh my mind and try to do better this week. We then had a Priesthood meeting, which was great. It was nice to have a meeting with the elders and talk about our Priesthood. It helped me remember my purpose really on this whole mission. Our purpose as missionaries and Melchizedek Priesthood holders is to magnify our calling and try to be like Christ. To look for opportunities to serve and help others, and look for times to use the power of God. It was a nice lesson to do our duty as missionaries and just men. 

We then had a meeting where we were supposed to personal study for a couple of hours. Our district just used the time to resolve some stuff that's been going on and try to balance and unify ourselves. It was much needed and very helpful. We also had a devotional that was probably really good, I just had a hard time focusing because I was asleep. After the devotional we discussed it as a district. I always get more out of smaller group discussions so that was good. It was a long day, but it was good.
